Head of Legal, Neste Marketing & Services

• Lead and develop the Neste Marketing & Services legal team based at Neste headquarters in Espoo while providing legal advice to ensure business activities comply with laws and regulations.
• Act as a trusted legal partner to M&S management, serve as secretary for the M&S Leadership Team, report to the EVP Marketing and Services, and cooperate with Neste group legal and external counsel.
• Prepare and negotiate commercial contracts, M&A documents, and agreements related to fuel station networks, real estate, IPR and data protection to safeguard Neste’s legal and business interests.
• Require a Master’s degree in law, extensive commercial legal experience, strong leadership, and excellent Finnish and English communication skills with a safety‑oriented and business‑minded approach.

Neste Marketing & Services, is one of the three Neste Corporation business units and responsible for the direct sales and marketing of a wide range of high-quality fuels including Neste MY Renewable DieselTM in its markets in Finland and all Baltic countries. We at the Marketing & Services business unit play an important role in connecting Neste's production with the end customers: consumers, transport service providers, customers in the aviation, shipping, industrial and agricultural sectors, municipalities, heating fuel customers, and fuel distributors. We are looking for you,

Head of Legal | Neste Marketing & Services (M&S) 

to lead the legal team and provide legal advice and counsel in Neste Marketing & Services. Location for this position is Neste headquarters in Keilaranta in Espoo, Finland.
 

The position comprises the following responsibilities:

• Provide legal advice and counsel in Neste Marketing & Services to ensure organization's activities, policies, business practices, and transactions comply with all relevant laws and regulations. 

• Act as a legal partner and a trusted advisor for M&S businesses and projects.

• Make recommendations and provide legal support and counsel to senior management in Neste Marketing & Services (M&S). In this role you will also be the secretary for the M&S Leadership team and have a role in M&S companies governance. 

• Participate in business negotiations. Prepare legal and commercial contracts, letters of agreement, M&A and other documents to protect organization’s IPR, data and legal and business interests. Work also includes fuel station network and real estate related negotiations and contracting.

• Lead and develop the M&S Legal team as well as liaise with external vendors and agencies

• Proactively promote compliance and Neste’s overall interest through strategy execution, planning, steering, resourcing and development.

You will report to EVP, Marketing and Services Panu Kopra. You will also be part of Neste’s group legal community and cooperate closely with other Neste’s legal and compliance professionals as well as external counsel.

• Master's degree in law
