Sourcing Manager, Indirect Materials & Services, Helsinki

• You will be the Helsinki-based Sourcing Manager responsible for indirect materials and services, building and implementing a new systematic category strategy and managing significant annual spend.
• You will run end-to-end strategic sourcing including spend analysis, RFQs, supplier market mapping, complex contract and price negotiations, and supplier compliance monitoring.
• The role requires a relevant Master’s degree and 2–5 years’ international sourcing or SCM experience, strong commercial and negotiation skills, and knowledge of contract law and Incoterms, with English as the working language.

We are looking for a goal-oriented and analytical Sourcing Manager to take charge of indirect sourcing for our international client company. In this role, you will have a genuine opportunity to make your mark, as your primary task will be to build and implement a completely new, systematic category strategy for indirect materials and services.

About the role

You will take strategic ownership of indirect material and service categories, managing significant annual spend. Working within a diverse global network, you will develop and implement systematic category strategies to optimize supplier performance and drive organizational value.

Work tasks

This role involves end-to-end strategic sourcing for indirect categories, from spend analysis and strategy development to negotiation and compliance management.

• Lead Request for Quotation (RFQ) processes for indirect materials and services.
• Execute complex contract and price negotiations with international suppliers.
• Conduct comprehensive supplier market mapping to identify new opportunities.
• Develop and implement systematic category strategies and sourcing processes.
• Monitor and ensure supplier compliance regarding quality, legislation, and sustainability.
• Perform detailed spend analyses to drive data-based decision making.
• Collaborate with global stakeholders across R&D, Sales, and Marketing departments.

We are looking for

• A relevant Master’s degree (M.Sc. in Engineering, Business, or a related field)
• 2–5 years of experience in sourcing or supply chain management (SCM) in an international environment. Previous experience in indirect sourcing and capital investments is considered a strong advantage.
• Strong commercial and financial understanding, excellent negotiation skills, and knowledge of contract law and Incoterms.
• Fluent English skills (official working language). Finnish is not required, but is considered an advantage.
