This is an exciting opportunity to join a global Corporate Finance Advisory business with a strong local presence. Deloitte Corporate Finance is among the most active M&A advisors globally and in Europe and now we are looking to expand our Corporate Finance team as we have an increasingly high level of activity. We continue to expand our footprint in the Nordic M&A market, which is why we are always looking for ambitious and talented individuals with a strong drive to join our team.

To support our growth, we are now looking for Associate / Senior Associate to join our Corporate Finance team in Helsinki.

About the role

As an Associate or Senior Associate in our Corporate Finance team you will work in diverse client engagements across M&A, strategic advisory, valuation and analysis together with our team. You will participate in the day-to-day project management of our engagements, which includes for example preparing materials to support our clients’ decision-making, creating sales materials, identifying new potential customers, performing demanding analyses in Excel and being in constant dialogue with our clients.

Deloitte Corporate Finance has broad experience in executing complex transactions for large listed multinational companies and Private Equity investors across industries. We also advise medium-sized and family-owned businesses. Our assignments primarily consist of sell-side and buy-side mandates and carve-outs for listed companies, with both smaller and larger transactions represented. International deals are carried out in close collaboration with Deloitte’s global network, and the number of cross-border transactions is steadily increasing.

Qualifications

To succeed in the role

Are you a business-oriented and analytical person who takes strong ownership of your work? Are you as excited about M&A as we are? To succeed in this role, we hope you also have:

• 1-3 years of relevant experience in financial advisory (e.g. an investment bank, a boutique, a big four, private equity or a corporate M&A role)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills – you have excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey your message in a credible and confident manner
• Fluency in English and Finnish
• Solid skills in Excel and PowerPoint
