Senior & Intermediate Software Engineers – Computer Vision & AI

We are looking for two Software Engineers (computer vision/AI) – one Intermediate and one Senior – to join our growing team. You will work on customer projects involving computer vision, image and point cloud data, detection algorithms and AI-assisted development.

This is not a traditional neural network developer role. We are looking for a broad-minded engineer who understands computer vision, can work with different technologies and enjoys finding the best solution to the customer's actual problem.

Your responsibilities include:

• Collaborating with the team and customers to deliver projects

• Developing non-neural-network-based detection algorithms, particularly for image and/or point cloud data analysis

• Programming and maintaining systems in Linux environments

• Developing neural-network-based detection models end-to-end, including dataset creation, model training and performance analysis

We are looking for someone who has:

• Strong Python skills – this is essential

• A solid understanding of computer vision and image processing

• Understanding of non-neural-network-based algorithms and their implementation

• Experience working with image and/or point cloud data

• Some experience with Linux environments

• Experience developing solutions for real-world projects

• The ability to understand the bigger picture, not just individual pieces of code

• An interest in and positive attitude towards AI-assisted development

• A hands-on, flexible and solution-oriented approach

• Good collaboration and communication skills

For the Intermediate position, we can be more flexible regarding Linux, Docker and neural-network experience. For the Senior position, we expect broader experience, greater independence and the ability to take ownership of complex technical challenges.

It is considered an advantage if you have:

• Deeper Linux and system administration experience

• Experience with Docker and container technologies

• C++ or Rust skills

• Experience with AWS or other cloud technologies

• Experience with web technologies such as React

• Knowledge of networking and infrastructure, such as VLANs

• Experience developing neural-network-based detection models

• A Master's degree or other relevant higher education degree

• Finnish language skills are considered an advantage, but are not a requirement

• A personal interest in experimenting with AI and new technologies

You don't need to know everything. We are a small team where everyone does a bit of everything, so broad technical knowledge, curiosity and a willingness to learn are highly valued.

Where will you work?

We particularly appreciate candidates based in Pori, as we value working together from the office. However, we are flexible and remote work can be negotiated depending on the candidate and the situation.

We offer a competitive compensation which will be determined based on your salary request, experience and technical skills.
